People Keep On Reaching....

Inspired, inspiring, creative, talented, visionary: Joshua Lutz (thanks for the cd!!!), Barnabas Crosby, Lillie Ruth Bussey, Ibrahim aka POET, Jason Smircich, Lyssen.... I felt totally blessed to have experienced these talents first hand.

And the designers, oh my goodness: Painter Serron, photographer Greg, Kristi and Anna of February Moth, Terina "Meca" McKinney, Yuko of Really Roots, Kimberly who couldn't make it but had some really wonderful pens available for sale, Emiko of Arrows and Hearts who I know took better pics than mine, lol, and gave me an awesome wristband (thank you, thank thank you!!!)Carly Miller of Earthspirit Bags and of course Nit Ra Sit. Again thanks to proprietor Linda Lindsay, Clarisse & Little Miss M too!

Good people. Good Times.

Good Times At Restoration Plaza

So a couple weeks ago Nit and I ( I know, we're like Frick & Frack) threw an event at Design Schemes @ Home courtesy of proprietor & interior designer Linda Lindsay and with the assistance of Clarisse Kouadjo. Now, Design Schemes @ Home, for those of y'all that don't know, is an intimate, cozy boutique that offers some of the most unique, inspired furniture (Ms. Lindsay is also a furniture designer) handmade, original art and home decor accessories you goin' see anywhere.
We literally fell in love with the interior.

It's in Restoration Plaza, the civic and commercial center of Bedford Stuyvesant. A 300,000 square foot landmark that used to be an abandoned milk bottling plant, it's constructed of several different buildings that were combined into one facility in the 1970s. It houses the Billie Holiday Theater, Skylight Gallery and the Youth Arts Academy. Weddings, outdoor concerts and community events are held here all year long in both the community rooms and the outdoor amphitheater.

The fab hats are by designer Yuko...we're having another event December 20th:) This time with poets and musicians!!! I'll give y'all the details in a couple days.

And this little person is my favorite new person...Clarisse's Little Lady M!
